USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Working with the EasyGun applicator
Keep the can in an upright position and remove the cap on the adapter. Install the EasyGun applicator onto the can valve by pushing it lightly until it attaches. Shake the can vigorously at least 20 times.To use it, turn the bottom of the can upwards and push the trigger of the EasyGun applicator with your fingers. Adjust the foam amount with the trigger of the applicator.

Use with a foam gun
Keep the can in an upright position and remove the cap on the adapter. Screw the can onto the gun, holding the handle of the gun with one hand and screwing the can with the other. While screwing, make sure that the gun is not pointed at anyone. Do not screw the can onto the gun with the valve facing downwards and also do not screw the gun above the can. Shake the can vigorously at least 20 times. To use it, turn the bottom of the can upwards and press the trigger. The amount of foam is controlled by the gun trigger.

Fixing of insulation and interior finishing boards
Apply the adhesive foam with even strips on both sides of the insulation or finishing board (3–4 cm from the edge) and one strip in the middle of the board parallel to the long side (gaps up to 25 cm). After installing the adhesive foam onto the insulation board, wait 2-3 minutes and then push the board onto the wall. The evenness of fixed boards can be adjusted up to 5 min.

Mounting of window sills
Before fixing the sill make sure that the base is level. Mount the window sill to support blocks. The foam can only be used as a glue. Apply the adhesive to the substrate at a distance of 3–4 cm from edge. Use weights to fix sill until the adhesive foam is cured.

Gluing of building blocks
The adhesive foam can be used for laying interior walls with non-load-bearing building blocks. The first block row must be levelled with a mortar. The substrate must be moistened because the adhesive foam cures through atmospheric humidity. At temperatures below +5°C it is recommended to treat the block surface with PENOSIL Premium Foam Activator.

The adhesive foam forms a thin layer of adhesive. After the adhesive is formed, squeeze the blocks together immediately. The adhesive must be applied to both the vertical and horizontal sides of the stone block.

Consult the reseller or an architect for compatibility with different stone-based materials and other technical issues regarding adhesive strength.

TIPS

• Air temperature during use between -5 °C and +30 °C. Best results at +20 °C.
• Can temperature during use between +5 °C and +25 °C. Best results at +20 °C.
• Yield will depend on the operating conditions significantly – the temperature, humidity, and expansion volume.
• The surfaces to be joined must be free of dust, loose particles and oil.
• Moisten the surfaces to achieve faster foam adhesive curing and better results.
• In cold conditions it is necessary to warm up the can in a warm room or warm water (up to 30 °C) before beginning the work.
• Cured foam adhesive can be painted over with waterborne paint.
• The adhesive foam is strong enough to mount any insulation board. If the insulation plate is covered with facade coatings, the need for additional mechanical fixation must be determined upon construction design, building codes, standards and other relevant guidance materials.
• In general, it is not recommended to use adhesive foam on bituminous surfaces. In some cases sufficient bonding is still ensured, for example, when fixing insulation boards to bitumen treated basements before re-filling with soil. Always test before permanent using.

LIMITATIONS

• Foam adhesive does not stick to Teflon, polyethylene or silicone surfaces.
• The cured foam adhesive is sensitive to UV and sunlight and needs to be coated with a suitable opaque material.
